The EPVMA celebrates the contributions made by animals to the emotional and physical well-being of their owners, while promoting responsible pet ownership and increasing awareness of veterinary medical services. Since our inception in 1956, the people of El Paso have distinguished themselves by their care and concern for pets and animals through the attention to their health and welfare.
Pets provide love, companionship, devotion and loyalty, enriching the lives of their owners and the community in general. Human progress throughout the ages has been reliant on the aid and assistance received from animals as helpmates and companions.
The care and treatment of these beloved animals are entrusted to Doctors of Veterinary Medicine, who strive to preserve and improve the quality of life for pets and people in the greater El Paso region.

The EPVMA Proudly Endows a
Scholarship Foundation at Texas A&M University
for veterinary students from El Paso City/County. Students apply for scholarship aid directly to TAMU College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, which awards them based upon specifications. Applications are due annually by April 15th. Only El Paso students receive consideration for the EPVMA scholarship funds.
